About:

I am a restless narrative researcher with 10 years of experience and a PhD that support my expertise in the fields of Visual Anthropology and Participant Generated Visual Methodologies. Independently and collaboratively, I manage to find new ways of looking at social problems and aspire to be part of the change and innovation in our society. Triggered by my personal experiences growing up, I'm an advocate for the need of creative and artistic contexts in schools and for women's rights.

I am always interested in human-centered projects that blend Art, Research, Media, Local Communities and Anthropology.

I worked with Mar on the design of research for the Global Children's Designathon, and then writing a paper on the outcomes. Mar is a joy to work with, she is full of ideas and possibilities. She is committed and conscientious and was able to use her interdisciplinary experiences for our complex work.

Mar Cuervo is a creative and reliable employee. While working for us she was able to project manage difficult public art installations, and oversee logistical and community aspects in a professional and organized manner. Her personality and strength of character allows her to manage tasks efficiently and problem solve with grace. It was a true pleasure working with Mar, and she is welcome back to Now Art anytime. Any employer looking to grow their vision and strengthen their team would be lucky to have her!

Throughout my life and my career I met very few people as original and honest as Mar. She has an invigorating, admirable and unique artistic baggage that along her understanding of people and group dynamics makes her presence highly valuable to any project. Cuervo also packs a very wide set of solid skills that range from photography and cross-stitching to researching and insight finding. With all that being said, definitely the most noticeable trait of hers is her energy and sense of humor. It was clearly a pleasure having had the opportunity to work with her and I hope to do so again in the future.

Mar is one of the most talented photographers I had the pleasure to work with. Her work possessed a poetic quality that conveys both the fragility and the strength of the female character. She is excellent under pressure always delivering very strong body of work even when working against the tightest of deadlines.
